A Look at the Holidays in Detroit Detroit is so often only represented as empty buildings and desolate areas that I wanted to share some of the beautiful holiday sights here in downtown right now.
There is an ice rink in Campus Martius.
The DTE Holiday Tree, a 60-foot tall Michigan-grown Norway Spruce, is lit.
The "Menorah in the D" was also lit each night of Chanukah.
And the retail storefronts on Woodward Avenue are covered in lights.
It's really spectacular.
